Course Description :
The course reviews the principles and scope of dentistry for children and adolescents. The course emphasizes importance of acquiring a comprehensive approach for management of pediatric dental patient; special attention is paid to behavior, personality, examination (Physical & dental) diagnosis, and treatment planning, pain and anxiety control. Clinical applications of differences between primary and permanent teeth are discussed, and eruption of teeth with changes of the dental arches that occur during the period of eruption are explored. The importance of understanding medical problems and handicap are emphasized during dental and oral management.
